I’m an award-winning illustrator focused on weird and wondrous landscapes, environment concepts, and background art. I’m most well known for my work on Numenera, and for Slay the Spire a best-selling and critically acclaimed indie game, as well as recently for Magic: The Gathering. My work has been included in prestigious publications such as Spectrum 26 & 27, Infected by Art Vol 5 - 9, and Illustrators of the Future Vol 34.
I have a BFA in scientific illustration from the University of Michigan. I now reside in Seattle with my wife, child, and carnivorous plants.
I work with a variety of clients in the tabletop, video game, and publishing industries. Most notably Wizards of the Coast, Hunters Entertainment, Draco Studios, Monte Cook Games, Mega Crit Games, Lone Shark Games, Cryptozoic Entertainment, Infamous Quests, and Phoenix Online Studios.
I've filled a variety of hats a freelancer with a long-term relationship with Phoenix Online Publishing: ongoing concept and 2D backgrounds painting for the fifth installment of their King's Quest related project, "The Silver Lining"; illustrations for various marketing initiatives; colorist and cover illustrator for their short graphic novel, "Gabriel Knight: Temptation", released as part of the marketing drive for their "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition".
